Northern Engineering & Technology Corporation, MCC (herein after referred to as NETC) is a shareholding subsidiary company affiliated to one of the World’s Fortune 500 enterprises - Metallurgical Corporation Of China Limited, which is a large internationalized engineering company relying on its own technical advantages, taking engineering design and technology research and development as the core competitiveness and taking engineering design and EPC and energy environmental protection as the main business with sound corporate governance structure, flexible business operation mode, multiple business scope, advanced technical outfit and scientific management.

NETC was restructured based on former Anshan Engineering and Research Incorporation of Metallurgical Industry, MCC, its predecessor  was Anshan Ferrous Metallurgical Mine Design and Research Institute established first in China and is the metallurgical engineering contractor with long operation history, super-strong technical strength and excellent brand reputation in the domain before-iron-making of metallurgical industry and has national class enterprise technology center.

NETC has abundant human resources and complete discipline configuration with more than 700 technology professionals of various disciplines, including 1 national class design master, 1 survey and design master of Liaoning Province, 2 senior management experts of National Metallurgical Construction, 35 experts enjoying the State Council Allowance, 2 chief pellet experts of MCC, 72  professor senior engineers, more than 300 senior engineers. It owns a technology and supervision team which can undertake the engineering design and EPC of mining, beneficiation, sintering ,pelletizing, thermal power and environmental protection projects etc..

With the experience of design and research for more than sixty years, NETC has established the leading position of domestic ferrous metal mining and beneficiation domain and the overlord position of pellet domain, owning the half of sintering market in the country. It can provide the whole process engineering services for before- iron-making projects, like mining, beneficiation, sintering and pelletizing etc., including planning, survey, consultation, engineering/design, procurement, construction and commissioning etc.. NETC has completed more than 700 metallurgical projects in accumulation and created many records in China and even in the world.

Besides, NETC has undertaken various kinds of projects like technical consultation, engineering design, complete equipment package supply and EPC services in the domains like thermal power, environmental protection, municipal civil building and so on and conducted  construction supervision, scientific and technical development, nonstandard equipment design, environmental impact assessment and safety assessment relying on its extremely competitive cost advantage, technical advantage, fund advantage and human resource advantage.

At the time to consolidate, develop, make traditional engineering design and EPC service more excellent and stronger, NETC also spares no effort to explore new business sectors like energy and environmental protection etc. NETC keeps good cooperative relationships with well-known business institutions and scientific research institutes of environmental protection domain at home and abroad and is dedicated to provide the most optimum environmental protection solutions for clients and focuses on undertaking the projects such as, comprehensive treatment and waste heat recovery of sintering and pelletizing flue gas, urban sewage water treatment, waste gas control and solid garbage harmless treatment in addition to environmental impact assessment.

Historical evolution

(1948) In November of 1948, Anshan Iron and Steel complex set up the  drawing- sorting discipline under the planning department, and by experiencing the reorganization and expansion in stages including planning section of capital construction department , designing section of technical design department and the design department of Anshan Iron and Steel Complex,  in July of 1953, Anshan ferrous metallurgical design company was officially established.

(1956)  On 7th of February, 1956, the first ferrous metallurgical mine professional design institute)— “Ferrous Metal Mine Design Institute , the Ferrous Metallurgy Design Institute of Ministry of Heavy Industry "  was officially established, in April of the same year, it was renamed as " Ferrous Metal Mine Design Institute of Ministry of Heavy Industry ", and in August of the same year, it was renamed as " Ferrous Metal Mine Design Institute of Ministry of Metallurgical Industry "

(1958) In December of 1957, it was renamed as" Anshan Ferrous Metal Mine Design Institute of Ministry of Metallurgical Industry ". In February of 1958, 500 persons were dispatched to Wuhan to set up Wuhan Ferrous Mine Design Institute of Ministry of Metallurgical Industry (later the Institute was moved to Changsha, and renamed as " Changsha Mine Design Institute "Ministry of Metallurgical Industry.

(1976) In October of 1976, it was renamed as ” Anshan Ferrous Metallurgical Mine Engineering and Research  Institute of Ministry of Metallurgical Industry”. In December of 1976, 200 persons  in a whole array of disciplines were dispatched to Fengrun Jidong by  to establish Jidong Ferrous Metallurgical Mine Engineering and Research Institute of Ministry of Metallurgical industry ( later it was  renamed as “Qinhuangdao Ferrous Metallurgical Mine Engineering and Research Institute of Ministry of Metallurgical Industry”

(1999) In June 1999, it became the member of China Metallurgical Construction Group, and was renamed as “ Anshan Engineering and Research Incorporation of Metallurgical Industry of MCC”.
(2004) In December of 2004, Anshan Engineering and Research Incorporation of Metallurgical Industry of MCC was reformed to incorporate Northern Engineering and Technology Corporation, MCC
(2011- ) In October of 2011, the Company was moved to Dalian.
